We will never use your details for unsolicited marketing, and we will never sell, rent or share your information with any third party for their own purposes.

How long we keep your data

Enquiry and contact form submissions are retained for up to 12 months, after which they are deleted. If you become a client, we may retain relevant project correspondence for up to 3 years for legitimate business purposes (invoicing, warranty, support).

You can request deletion of your data at any time by emailing thesett@codebadger.co.uk.

The AI assistant

The Code Badger website uses an AI-powered chat assistant. Messages you send to the assistant are processed via the Anthropic API. This means the content of your messages is transmitted to Anthropic's servers in order to generate a response.

We do not store AI chat conversations on our own servers beyond the duration of your session. However, Anthropic may process and retain data in accordance with their own privacy policy, which you can read at anthropic.com/privacy.

Please do not share sensitive personal information (such as passwords, financial details or medical information) via the AI assistant.

The Snuffle Hole website auditor

When you use The Snuffle Hole free website auditor, the URL you submit is processed via the Anthropic API and Google PageSpeed Insights API in order to generate your audit report. We do not store the URLs submitted or the results generated beyond your active session.

If you complete the contact form within the auditor, that information is handled in the same way as any other enquiry (see above).

Cookies

The Code Badger website does not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies. We use a single session-level browser storage item to prevent the AI assistant nudge prompt from appearing more than once per visit. No personal data is stored in this item and it expires when you close your browser.
